About Us

Hi Everyone! My name is Joey and I have been a bartender for over 15 years and working in kitchens and restaurants for over 20. I didn’t realize that by getting that first summer job washing dishes, I was also joining a subculture- the “service industry.”

As part of the subculture, we sleep at different hours, we work when everyone else is off, and we go to battle daily against a constant flow of drink/food tickets and happy hour menus. Its the life I’ve chosen and more importantly, the life I love.

I enjoy learning and sharing the rich history of different cocktails. Although crafting cocktails is fun, my real passion lies in meeting fun people and hearing their stories.

I think stories are meant to be shared and I am a storyteller – on life from the well, we bring them to you.

Hi everyone, I’m Kelly, or more affectionately known as the “Den Mother” by our crew. I do a lot of the behind the scenes work and thankfully now I have Brian to help!  This podcast is a lot of fun and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of it.

The only bar-tending experience I have is keeping the beers full while recording or filling up a shot glass or two.  I have been learning more from Joey but still not an expert!

At Life From The Well, the laughter and stories that people have to tell is enlightening, encouraging and just downright fun. Please join us in hearing the stories from behind the scenes and of course, learning about new cocktails.

Hi. I’m Brian. I help out Kelly, the Den Mother, and get to work with tech and flex my creative muscles! I even got to make a bar for Joey as I was tired of worrying about bottles falling off!

I enjoy being a part of LFTW and experiencing new cocktails, filming at breweries, distilleries and of course laughing with Joey and Kelly.

Hello everyone, my name is Peter Tobin! I have worked in the service industry for roughly fifteen years. In that time, I have worked as Set up for banquets, as well as back server and even lead server for large and small banquet events. I have also worked as a trainer, bartender, barback, server, busser, expeditor, and even a prep cook.

Working in the service industry has been some of the most fun I have ever had as well as some of the worst. In this industry I have seen all walks, colors, and creeds of people. I have served a $20 steak Bleu and a $60 steak burnt to little more than charcoal, and everything in between. I have laughed with my tables till I was crying. I have also heard stories that have made me leave the floor in tears.

What I love most about this industry are the stories people have to tell. Some are good, some are bad, some are funny, and some are sad. But the stories people tell are a little piece of them they are giving to you. And now with this Podcast we are bringing some of these stories to you. So please come be a part of “Life From The Well”.
